Darwin Biological at Ento25: Celebrating Insect Science and Drosophila Research

In September 2025, Darwin Biological was proud to attend Ento25, the premier insect science conference hosted by the Royal Entomological Society. This annual event brings together researchers, innovators, and enthusiasts to explore the fascinating world of entomology—and we were thrilled to play a part in it.

As a sponsor of the conference lanyards, we were delighted to support the Society’s mission of advancing insect science. Collaboration and knowledge-sharing are at the heart of scientific progress, and Ento25 provided the perfect platform for both.

Our stand featured a timeline showcasing the history and future of drosophila research, a cornerstone of genetics and evolutionary biology. Visitors explored milestones from the pioneering work of E.B. Ford, whose contributions to ecological genetics remain influential, to the cutting-edge resources provided by the Bloomington Drosophila Stock Centre in Indiana - an institution we proudly maintain strong links with. This timeline wasn’t just about the past; it highlighted the exciting future of drosophila research and its role in answering fundamental biological questions. At Darwin Biological, we remain committed to supporting this vital field and fostering connections that drive innovation.

Thank you to everyone who visited our stand and joined the conversation. We look forward to continuing our support for the Royal Entomological Society and the global entomology community.
