Refund policy

Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Perishable goods such as live plants, algae, agar plates, blood, drosophila and specimens cannot be returned. If there is an issue with any live items you have received please contact us immediately as we may be able to offer a credit or replacement. In addition, sale items are non-returnable.

Partial credit may be issued for:
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

We reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee for any items returned where the original total invoice value was over £100.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and advise you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your account, if you require your credit card to be refunded please advise.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.

Damaged Items
Please advise us of any damaged items within 5 days of receipt. Please send details and photographs to hello@darwinbiological.co.uk (this is so we can raise a claim with our courier)

How to Return an Item
If you need to return an item please send your item to: Shawbury House, Shawbury, Shrewsbury, SY4 4NL.

Customer is responsible for arranging the return any item(s), we advise using a tracked/insured service. We are able to supply returns labels, these are at a cost of £7.50+VAT and include collection from your address, the cost of which will be deducted from your refund/credit note.
