These plastic graticules are an affordable and popular product to enable students to fulfil the microscopy element of their GCSE curriculum, whereby they must produce labelled drawings complete with a magnification scale.
The graticules are printed on high quality clear plastic and feature 3 rings that can be used as cut guides for 16mm, 19mm and 21mm eyepieces.
This product can also be mounted on a microscope slide and used as a stage micrometer - instructions for use included.
Horizontal micrometer 10mm with 0.1mm sub-divisions.
Pack of 10 graticules (2 strips of five per pack)
The graticules come in two strips of five. Each graticule unit has three circular guides for cutting to the required size . A small curved nail scissors works well for cutting but don't hold with your fingers or you will get a neat fingerprint on the graticule which cannot be removed !
The graticule lines are etched onto the plastic backing so the graticules should remain clear, unlike the old version in which the image was on photographic film which became grainy after a while, so this is a major advance !
A bit pricy though at £50 for two strips after adding postage and VAT, but, however, they are still cheaper than most glass ones !
