Coscinodiscus radiatus is a marine Diatom. Diatoms have a characteristic silica cell wall called frustule with beautiful ornamentation. Diatoms are the main primary producers in oceans, and therefore of massive ecological importance. Coscinodiscus has a characteristic coin shape.
