Allium sativum. Garlic roots are ideal for root tip squash practicals, required for many GCSE and A level biology curriculums. SAPS have a great resources relating to microscopy of root tip mitosis.
1 bulb of garlic will be supplied containing at least 10 cloves. Alternatively we can supply cloves with roots already growing. Roots take around 3-4 days to grow so please allow plenty of time before the scheduled practical.
Where seasonally possible, garlic will be British grown.
